Computer Music
Now that I have finished earning my degree in Computer Music Composition, I have further intentions to both record on my own and collaborate on projects for a variety of media, dance, and visual artists. As a software programmer, I use languages such as SuperCollider to interface my own signal processing tools, control a palette of external modules, and automate overall workflow. I have apprenticed under digital-harsh noise musician Jeff Carey to incorporate computer science into both physical control interfaces and compositional practice.
Research in cyberculture and post-net art act as a platform for my sonic work. Fusing analog and digital artifacts of sound into a malleable material helps inform the domain of my medium. My electronic music compositions distend from psychoacoustic boundaries in minimalist, noise, and glitch music aesthetics. Extramusical practices in my work are influenced by futurist mysticism with technology along with experimentation in blurring obfuscations between perceived “fake” simulations and “real” sound worlds. I attempt to render materialized sound objects that interact on these levels.
The following piece uses string synthesis techniques for every track. I used the programming language SuperCollider for this. Karplus-Strong techniques…
SOUNDCLOUD

As of right now, my soundcloud is mostly miscellaneous projects and some throw away tracks. Newly re-composed, mixed, and mastered material will soon re-appear on soundcloud and other platforms in the soon future to come.

Guitar Features
Guitar is my primary instrument, and is the instrument that I have been playing the longest. I am always willing to create guitar stems over any style of tracks from alternative, to electronic and rap. I am also certainly open to virtually teaching guitar lessons over Skype or Zoom, at a cheap rate! I can teach both acoustic and electric guitar, in styles ranging from fingerpicking, folk, jazz, bossa nova, rock, and pop.
Here are some recent links to various tracks I have played guitar on:
Film Scores
I enjoy doing original composition along with production work for short films and various other video media projects. I have worked with a broad range of artists, from local artists at MICA to international collaborations with film producers in Taiwan. I am willing to compose in any style that can be found in contemporary film and video productions.

Multimedia
Installation
I deeply enjoy doing collaborative works and installation settings. A lot of my generative, algorithmic music fits well when working in an installation medium.

Software, Video Projection, Mouse Pad, and Sound
This piece was part of a MICA collaboration between myself and a digital media artist. She worked on Processing code, and I worked on Supercolldier code. We both used OSC and other quark packages to get our respective software to communicate with one another. This created a feedback loop of signal processing between user/audience input with the mouse pad, visual renderings from Processing, to a generative reaction from SuperCollider-based algorithmic music.
Music For Website
I enjoy designing digital music for digital spaces. Here is a piece that I made to accompany browsing a visual artist’s website:
